ELI currently runs an Intermediate part-time course every Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm to 8.30 pm and an Elementary course every Wednesday and Friday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for students who are interested in learning English on a part-time basis. It is possible to join the course at any time, and students buy a set of six lessons at a time, which they can use for any lesson within six weeks. This means that if you miss a class, you don’t lose out on any lessons. It also means that you can choose to go to classes once or twice a week – it’s entirely up to you! Classes are small, with a maximum of 15 students in each class.

The focus of our classes is on practical English. Each class will have a topic which will help students to learn grammar and to practice their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. There will be plenty of practical role-plays and exercises which will help students to learn the everyday English of the workplace, etc.

Each class has students from lots of different nationalities, so students have many opportunities to meet others from lots of different countries and cultures. Meeting people also allows students to practice their English before and after class. We also have a large, specially designated, recreation area where you can meet and chat with other students.

As a regularly attending student, you will have access to ELI’s extensive library, which has lots of resources for the English language learner. As well as activity books, academic books and novels to suit your level, our library also contains a suite of modern computers which are connected to the internet. ELI also has a series of language learning CD-ROMs to assist you in your learning.

The school is situated on St. Stephen’s Green south, only two minutes walk from Grafton Street, and close to the St. Stephen’s Green LUAS stop. Its excellent location makes ELI a very convenient place for part time study.

ELI is fully recognised as a school by both the Department of Education and ACELS (The Advisory Council for English Language Schools in Ireland). Our premises are inspected regularly to ensure a high standard of teaching.

The current price for both of our part time courses is €100 for six lessons.
